Whether I select Start Klipfolio Dashboard minimized or not in the General tab, Klipfolio always starts maximized.

Windows 7 Professional English version freshly installed, Klipfolio Personal Dashboard 5.3 Build 5903-9.

Hi,

I am trying to add the noterow to the klip with a column type of representation. I know as the name implies only the row type of display is possible. Is there anything which I can do to display like the xml dat below in the column format using Tooltip?

My XML retried from the DB will look like below

We are actually planning to change the values in the xml for label to label1, label2, label3 for 12 different months and also similarly for value. I know it is not a good solution.

Hello,

I use Personal Dashboard 5.3 on my notebook with a a smal GPRS-bandwith for monitoring some RSS-Feeds.

Some of these feeds have huge images in it and the dashboard try to load them, that could take up to 4 minutes.

I want to disable the receiving of images in these feeds (or "klips"), has someone any idea how to do this?

A former version of Klipfolio (brought by Intel) had the option to disable Images in general, but I want only to disable them in some feeds

Addition. It seems that not all klips are affected. Not affected is the klip of tagesschau.de. Affected are the klips of Spiegel Online and Heise online. The weather klips are also affected.

I'm not sure what you mean by "offscreen". I can't drag a clip completely offscreen. Dragging it off the Klipfolio canvas doesn't change anything, if that is what you mean. The bug is still present in 5.3

hi there,

in clipfolio dashboard, when i add a feed from my board i get no data

my board requires people to be logged in to see board, topics and posts so there is no way a guest can see anything, they only get a login page

is there any way to make clipfolio dashboard be able to retrieve the feed from my board? like add login information to the feed url or something like that ?

The upgrade to 5.3 behaves in the same way. It "works" and after a reboot it wants to install again. It also installed to the Desktop directory and not to the Programs path. So I uninstalled Klipfolio and kept the preferences. Then I installed 5.3 "fresh". This worked the first time, but after reboot it prompted me for an upgrade again. And when I tried that it stopped dead at about 20% of the progress bar. Each time. Then I renamed it so that the name included "setup" (which will trigger possible elevation) and then it prompted for elevation and installed. After that the system asked if I wanted to change the compatibility settings. It works if I run it with XP compatibility or with administrator privileges. Then it prompts for elevation and starts. And I have to keep it that way or it will prompt for reinstall again. It seems one gets the upgrade screen as soon as Klipfolio cannot read or write some value in the registry.
So, this looks to me like Klipfolio isn't Windows 7/Vista compatible and wants to change something in the registry that is not user-specific and thus it needs elevation.
Yes, this is an account with administrator privileges, but this shouldn't make a difference. The problem occurs because Klipfolio apparently needs administrator privileges to run. Each time, not just for installation. But it shouldn't.
While troubleshooting I noticed that all the preferences go to the user's Roaming path and that it keeps backups of all the older executables there. So, after some time you end up with quite a few executables there. I think Klipfolio should clean that backup by itself, so only the last backup copy remains.

Sorry for the long delay in responding to this one. As you saw in the other thread, we're planning to revisit how Klipfolio Dashboard handles multiple monitors, docking and reserved space in a future version. Those changes will correct a number of issues, including this one. I don't have any estimate for when those changes will be released, but keep an eye on the forum and the Release Notes for any updates about new versions of Klipfolio Dashboard.

Are you trying to upgrade using an account with administrator privileges? Are you running the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows 7? Does the upgrade process pause or do anything out of the ordinary? One thing you can try is uninstalling Klipfolio (make sure to keep your settings and files), and then install the new version. Also, we are releasing Personal Dashboard 5.3 later today, so try the upgrade process again after 5.3 is released.

Just noticed on the Klipfolio download page that 5.3 is out. But when I let my 5902-3 (not on my netbook) check for an update it returns to tell me there is no update.
