NUMBERFORMAT function

The Klipfolio NUMBERFORMAT function takes a set of values, treats them as numbers, and returns them as text with as many digits of decimal places as required, and up to the number specified by the optional "precision".

The syntax for the NUMBERFORMAT function is:

NUMBERFORMAT( data , precision , separator )

Parameters

data The data set. vector
precision Optional. The number of decimal places. scalar
separator Optional. The separator.  The separator can be set to the desired thousands separator character. The default separator is a comma. scalar

NUMBERFORMAT example

Let's look at a NUMBERFORMAT function example.

1 135,000
2 140,000

The following example is based on the above text from an Excel spreadsheet:

NUMBERFORMAT( A:A ) 

-> [135000 , 140000]

Note: If the data parameter is defined with text values or the BLANK function, the results will be returned as a 0.
