The Klipfolio API works with API keys to enable secure authentication. You can generate an API key from the Klipfolio app through either the My Profile page or from Users if you are an administrator (you must have the user.manage permission). By default, both the Admin and Editor roles have permission to generate keys.

To generate an API key:

1. In Klipfolio, click your Account Name (located at the bottom of the left navigation sidebar) and select Account. Note: If you don’t see this option, click your Account Name (located at the bottom of the left navigation sidebar) and select My profile.
2. Beside General Information, click Edit, as shown below.
   
3. Beside API Key, click Generate New API Key. The app automatically generates a new key.
   
4. Click Save.

Your API key is now visible and available on your profile page.
