To access data, your Salesforce account must be enabled and configured as described below.
Your Salesforce edition must include API access
The following Salesforce editions include API access:
- Enterprise Edition
- Unlimited Edition
- Developer Edition
- Performance Edition
To see which edition you're currently using, log in to Salesforce and go to Setup > Company Profile > Company Information > Organization Edition. If your edition doesn't have Salesforce API access enabled by default, contact your Salesforce representative. For more information, see this Salesforce article: Salesforce editions with API access.
Your Salesforce user account must have API access
You must have a Salesforce user account that allows access to the data you want to visualize in Klipfolio. As such, the user account must be granted the API Enabled permission. If you need help, contact your Salesforce administrator.
Note: Client applications can only access objects and fields to which they have access via the logged-in Salesforce user.
You must have a valid security token
Security tokens ensure secure access to your Salesforce data. If you don't have a security token, you can generate one by going to Setup > My Personal Information > Reset my Security Token.
Klipfolio must be added as a remote site URL
Your Salesforce administrator may have restricted which applications are allowed to communicate with the Organization. If this is the case, go to Setup > Security Controls > Remote Site Settings and add https://app.klipfolio.com” as a Remote Site URL.
