PowerMetrics: Setting up an IP address range in Klipfolio

An IP address is a unique address for a device on the network that uses the IP standard. You can restrict user access to Klipfolio PowerMetrics by setting up an IP address range or by specifying a single IP address.

Notes:

  • To perform the tasks described in this article, you must have administrative access.
  • We support IPv4 addresses. We do not support IPv6 addresses.

Setting up an IP address range

Note: In a scenario where setting up an IP address range restricts all access to an account, immediately contact us at success@klipfolio.com.

To set up an IP address range:

  1. Click the account and settings button in the left navigation sidebar and select Settings > Security.
  2. In the section, IP Range Restrictions, click the Restrict Access with IP Ranges link.
  3. Type in a Description.
  4. At the IP Range field, type in an IP address range to allow a specific set of users access to your Klipfolio account. You cannot use wild characters when specifying an IP address range.
  5. Click the Save button.

Setting up a single IP address

To set up a single IP address:

  1. Click the account and settings button in the left navigation sidebar and select Settings > Security.
  2. In the section, IP Range Restrictions, click the Restrict Access with IP Ranges link.
  3. Type in a Description.
  4. At the IP Range field, type in a single IP address to allow only one user access to your Klipfolio account. You can leave the to field empty.
  5. Click the Save button.

Note: If you want to restrict access to two computers in two different locations, follow the steps above. The description might say Computer 1 and the start and end parameters would use the IP address for that computer. The second computer would use its own IP address in the start and end parameters and the description would say Computer 2.
