PowerMetrics: Manually updating data sources for local uploaded files

Our recent redesign simplifies the data transfer experience by combining raw and modelled data sources into a single object - data feeds.
If you see Data Feeds in the left navigation sidebar, go to this article.
These new features are being released gradually. If you don't see them in your account yet - no worries - they’re coming soon!

When a data source is connected to a local file, for example, a spreadsheet on your desktop, and you make changes to the file, you'll need to manually re-upload the file for the data source to display its most recent content. After re-uploading the file and saving the data source, all associated modelled data sources and metrics will automatically update to reflect the changes made to the source file.

Note: When manually updating, make sure you select an unmodelled data source. If you're on a modelled data source details page, you can go to the details page for the unmodelled data source it's based on by clicking the "Uses Data Source" link beside "Connections".

To manually update a data source:

  1. Click Data Sources in the left navigation sidebar to open your list of data sources.
If you don’t see this option, go to the bottom of the left navigation sidebar and click your Account Name > Data Sources instead.
  2. Select the data source you want to update and, beside Queue for Refresh, click Re-Upload Now.
The unmodelled and modelled data sources and any metric visualizations that use them are updated.
