How do I add a pre-built dashboard?

You add pre-built dashboards from the Dashboard Gallery. There are a couple ways to get there:

  • In the left navigation sidebar, click the 3-dot menu beside Dashboards and select Pre-built Dashboard Gallery.

  • In the Dashboard Library, click Open Dashboard Gallery.

By default, when you open the Dashboard Gallery, all dashboards display. To narrow down the list, click a service name or category type or enter text into the Search field.

Learn more about a dashboard before adding it by viewing a brief description (visible when you hover over the dashboard image). The service(s) used in the dashboard are indicated with service-specific icons.

When you’re ready to add the dashboard to your account, click + Add dashboard.

How do I connect my data to a pre-built dashboard?

When you add a pre-built dashboard, the Klips within it display sample data. To create meaningful visualizations, you need to replace the sample data by connecting the Klips to your own data.

  • To connect all the Klips on a pre-built dashboard at the same time:

Click the Connect your data button at the top of the dashboard. Note: This option only displays when at least one Klip on the dashboard is in sample data mode.

In the Connect to services dialog, click + Connect new account or select an existing account from the drop-down list and click Next Step.

Enter your account settings (if applicable) and click Update Klip. Click Next Klip until all the Klips are connected. Click Finished.

Note: Each time you select a different option from a dropdown list on a connected Klip, you must click Apply (or similar CTA) to update the Klip.

  • To connect Klips one at a time:

Click a Klip's 3-dot menu and select Connect your data. (Alternatively, you can hover over the SAMPLE DATA banner and click CONNECT YOUR DATA.)

In the Connect to services dialog, click + Connect new account or select an existing account from the drop-down list and click Next Step.

Enter your account settings (if applicable) and click Update Klip. Click Finished.

Note: Each time you select a different option from a dropdown list on a connected Klip, you must click Apply (or similar CTA) to update the Klip.

Note: Some dashboards act as examples only and aren't meant to connect to your own data. Use them to inspire your dashboard building. To see how they're constructed, click the Klip's 3-dot menu and select Edit. You'll enter the Klip Editor where you can see the Klip's background formulas and formatting.
Tip: This dashboard type is easy to identify - its Klips don't have SAMPLE DATA banners and the "Connect your data" button doesn't display at the top of the dashboard.

Note: When you remove a Klip from a dashboard, it’s not removed from your account. To remove a Klip from your account, click the 3-dot menu beside Klips in the left navigation sidebar and select Klip Library. Select the checkbox for each Klip you want to remove and click Delete.
