Editing data feeds: The toolbar (NEW)

Our recent redesign simplifies the data transfer experience by combining raw and modelled data sources into a single object - data feeds. We’re gradually releasing this new feature to our customers.
If you see Data Feeds in the left navigation sidebar, you're in the right place. If not, go here.

Getting familiar with the toolbar will make working with your data feeds faster and easier.

Note: The toolbar options available to you depend on where your data is coming from. For example, editing options differ between data that’s coming from Google Analytics and data that's coming from a spreadsheet. Go here if you’d like more detailed information on editing data feeds.

Add column

Insert a blank column at the right-hand end of the table in your data feed.

Tip: If your data feed includes raw data (it will display under the data feed table and formula bar), you can populate a new, empty column in your data feed with a column of data from your raw data. Simply, select the empty column in the data feed and then click the column header in the raw data table.

Duplicate column

Create a duplicate to the right of the selected column. Each duplicated column is denoted by a number to the right of the column heading.

For example: Original Column = "Totals"; Column 1 = "Totals 1"; Column 2 = "Totals 2"

Remove the selected column

Remove the selected column from your data feed.

Undo & Redo

Cancel your most recent change by clicking the Undo button. You can also use the CTRL+Z shortcut with your keyboard. Restore a change by clicking the Redo button.

Move left & Move right

Move the selected column one place left or one place right in the column order.

Merge data

Merge your current data feed with a secondary data feed.

Unpivot

Convert data from a pivot table format to a list table format.

Add all columns from the raw data table

Add all of the data from the raw data table to your data feed. This is good for quickly integrating your data instead of selecting columns individually.

Note: This option adds a maximum of 30 columns each time it is selected.

Remove all columns from the data feed

Clear all the columns from your data feed, instantly creating a clean slate to work with. This will not affect your raw data table. This option is enabled when the data feed includes at least one column.

Open the data feed properties side panel

Open the properties panel to select general settings for your data feed.
