Working Custom Maps (Including Brazil!)

Hey Klipfolio!

If you have ever tried to create a custom map, you probably have found it is a bit tricky. Luckily, this post will now become a library for all the great custom maps that our awesome community has built!

To use these files in your own map component, right click and select "Save Link As..." to save the files onto the local drive.

Before you build your new map, you will then need to create a new data source with the region ID file by clicking the orange "Create a New Data Source" button within the data source tab of your library. Click "Upload a File" and select the .csv region ID file.

Next, to use the .svg file, create a new map component, and select "Map" on the left-hand side in the component tree. Click on the "Map:" drop-down and select "Custom...". Then click on the "Select Map File" and "Upload File". Now add the new data source file with the region ID's and you are good to go!

2. Australia SVG File ------- Australia Region ID File
3. Belgium SVG File -------- Belgium Region ID File
4. Italy SVG File ------------- Italy Region ID File
5. Sweden SVG File -------- Sweden Region ID File
6. UK SVG File --------------- UK Region ID File
7. South Africa SVG File----South Africa Region ID File

8. France SVG File-----------France Region ID File
9. China SVG File------------China Region ID File
10. Indonesia SVG File------Indonesia Region ID File

11. Singapore SVG File------Singapore Region ID File

As time goes on, this list will continue to grow so if you need a map check back or leave a request in the comments and a member of our community might just help you out!

Please note that at this time, these custom maps do not support map markers at this time.

    If someone can make this map of North America work that would be great. Preferably with each state and province as a region. Thanks

    Dear all,

    @IFRC Americas regional Office, we have generated  klipfolio compliant svg files for various countries processing GADM28 dataset and thought it could be useful to other klipfolio users.

    Process includes topology cleaning and simplification of boundaries according to admin level pertinent precision.

    Currently available : admin 1 level (admin levels 2 and 3 will come shortly, if available in gadm28 dataset)

    Let us share with you zip files containing:

    - klipfolio compliant svg files

    - a csv file containing a table of correspondance ID - Region name

    - ESRI Shapefiles (points and polygons) for GIS processing

    Hey All,

    I have gone ahead and created a North America svg file that you can access here: http://static.klipfolio.com/images/saas/NorthAmericanMap.svg

    This map is just the provinces and states 

    Unfortunately it is not possible to user markers on a custom map

    Hi Klipfolio Team, 

    I have been a user of Klipfolio in a while, and have been big fans of Klipfolio, as it helps me propel my career here in Tech Startup

    I've been recommending Klipfolio to others and I want to keep doing that because this product does help alleviate a real pain in the corporate world.

    That been said, I think some of the features like Map is still heavily North America centric, and while I understand the constraint of engineering resources, and the focus to target the big market first, I can help but keep on wishing that the users in other countries such as Indonesia get some of the love from the Product Development team in Klipfolio.

    The maps would be a very good start at that. I hope you guys will be able to support Indonesian map, along with the marker and the city name just like the USA map,

    Hi Bara!

    I have gone ahead and created a custom Indonesia map for you. You will now be able to set-up a visualization as a heat map for the provinces of Indonesia. Here is a link to the SVG file and accompanying Region ID file.

    Hi Klipfolio Team,

    I am a new user. I feel that this tool will help my organization in cutting down the time to work on reporting and have an easily accessible dashboard for snapshot views.

    I was hoping that you had a Singapore map in place for us to use, or could you direct me to where I can find one? I am trying to ma out sales that we made based on districts in Singapore, not sure if there is a map that deep dives into each district in Singapore.

    I am trying to improvise the map you have provided and make edits based on the main zones in Singapore. If it's not too much trouble, do you think you could layout the Singapore map based on the image I have attached?  - zone 1,2,3,4 and Jurong

    Can someone please create a UK map but split by country instead of regions

    I've managed to populate my map using the UK map in the list, but it would be really useful if someone could drill down the detail so it is by county (like the pre-built German map)

    Hi Garrod,

    I am sorry for the trouble, I have tried to do paths on illustrator but I am not familiar with the tool. Could I trouble you to help with mapping a map of Singapore based on actual postcodes?

    Hi Klipfoilo Users & Admin. Can I ask, is there a better way to build a custom map besides using illustrator? Or (being cheeky) is there another tool that we can use to display custom maps (besides klipfolio). Appreciate your input.
