Heatmap using two dimensions (Pivot Tables)

I would like to be able to create a heatmap by just selecting one dimension that defines the rows of the heatmap and another which defines the columns. After that I would like to choose one metric which is displayed in the cells of the heatmap or defines the color of the cells, respectively.

At the moment, we have to create every single column of a table manually instead of just selecting one dimension whose items are then used as individual columns. Whatsmore, we have to set the color settings for every single column if we would like to create a heatmap.

I think that the current workflow for creating heatmaps is really troublesome and definitely needs improvement.

This is to some extent a thing that has been requested in the following posts.
