Piechart / Donut - Metrics

Hi,

I'd like to create a 'gauge' in Powermetrics, but that doesn't seem to be available, it's only in Klips.

Is it possible to create using a piechart? My data is the the sum of a set of numbers, let's say it adds up to 1600. The 'max' would be 2000. So a pie chart showing just over 75% usage would work as a gauge - but how to input these 2 sets of numbers into a chart that only takes one?

    Hi Charlie, 

    Thanks for the post! 

    I'll start by mentioning that we're working on improving PowerMetrics visualizations, including the addition of variations like gauges. In the meantime though, you should be able to get a pie chart to display values in a similar way. There could be a variety of ways to set this up, but I would first try the following: 

    1. Set up a metric that displays your value of 1600 using your data

    2. In a calculated metric, set up a formula for your max value minus your metric (so 2000 minus your metric, which has a value of 1600) 

    3. Add those two metrics to a multi-metric pie chart. This will then show that your metric takes up 75% of the total value of that pie chart.

    I'm not sure how to create a 'multi-metric pie chart' - the pie chart tells me it only supports one metric?

    Hi Charlie, 

    My apologies, that's correct. We do have a feature request to enable multi-metric pie charts, however. 

    With that in mind, you may instead want to make edits to your data feed to include a value for the delta between your value and the max value, in addition to another text column that would differentiate between your metric value and the difference (which would be used in a segment in your final metric). 

    Given that a multi-metric is not an option here, I'd recommend you submit a ticket via support@klipfolio.com for this, as this will allow us to work more hands-on with your account to get an example of this functionality set up and working.
