This is useful for reducing tab-clutter when multiple database environments (identical schema) are present. Currently we duplicate our tabs out for each environment, but would be great to have the ability to show/hide entire klips based on a drop-down value so we can utilise a single tab.

Same challenge here. Tab spawn/replace doesn't pass variables reliably so that does't provide a work around. Hyperlinks seem to have the same result. We coded our own solution for the show/hide klips based on user selected criteria which works great in the browser. The download pdf function still displays all klips in the layout regardless of visibility settings. The hide/show Klip functionality would need to be paired with automatic hide/show when downloading.

Just adding to what the others say here, this would be a very useful feature!

Hi Andreas,
Thank you for adding your voice here. Can you help me understand more about your use case? What is the need you are trying to fulfill for your dashboard user?
Thanks,
Scott.

Hello Scott,
Thanks for following up on this! The feature we are looking for is the ability to show or hide a certain klip in a dashboard depending on a criteria, variable or formula. In other wolds being able to programatically decide whether a klip shall be shown or not to the user.
The specific use case I'm looking onto now is to show my users a short text message, just in case there is something special to communicate. If not, nothing should be shown. Currently I just show a blank klip in this case, but it doesn't look so great because it adds extra white space and two horizontal lines.
Does it make any sense?
Thanks again,
Andreas

Hi Andreas,
Thank you for sharing more about your use case. From what you described, it sounds like you want to be able to communicate to your users as needed and not eat up valuable dashboard space when there is nothing specific you want to communicate. Right?
Just curious, have you looked at the Comments feature for Klips? I am curious if that would meet your needs or if there is a key part of your use case that would not meet.
Thanks again!
Cheers,
Scott.

Hello Scott,
Yes that's exactly right.
About comments it is not what I need, mostly because the comment must be set on the site, and can not be set by information in an emailed excelfile (that's the data source I'm using). Also I can not see the comments in the Klifolio iPhone app.
Have a nice day,
Andreas

We have a dashboard that shows us problems if there are any, i like to hide klips if there is noting to display. In my case this is a table.

Hi!
I faced with the same problem: I have data in an array, the number of elements are between 0 and 6. I would like to put as many (pie) charts on a klip as many array elements I have.
Any idea or workaround to solve this issue?
Thanks a lot,
Laszlo

Hi,
I have a similar issue. My projects may have between 1 and 8 "outcomes" and I have a klip for each outcome displaying various data. The dashboard would be much cleaner and easier to read if it only contained the klips for which there was corresponding outcome data.
Very best,
Andrew

Our company needs the same feature. I can imagine add an indicator tab to the klip settings and additionaly add "hide klip" to the possible actions would be the perfect solution. And by the way adding "hide element" to other elements than klips would be helpful too!
My company is offering education. We have 12 different locations with different courses. Some have all courses, some only have part of. We use a list to filter between locations. To prevent confusion with people who doesn't use computers everyday, we would like to hide klips with courses that aren't offered at certain locations.

Hi All,
One of our clients is asking for this feature as well. They have a dashboard with a great overview, but adding more klips can make it messy. They would like the option to view a klip after (for example) a click on a button or row, because the klips they want to ad belong in this dashboard and would be great to add. Besides that, they have +/- 30 clients and keep growing. Adding these klips in another dashboard forces them to go to another plan.
Kind regards,
