Filling in empty dates in a MYSQL database

Hi, I am building a dashboard to show donations per day. The problem i am having is days with no donations, these days are not added to the database. example: Date Donation# 01-01-2015 10 02-01-2015 5 03-01-2015 10 05-01-2015 10 i want to build a line chart showing every day, including 04-01-2015 which has no value right now. any ideas?

    I have the same issue. I want to put 2 time series on the same graph, though both of them are missing dates. How do we handle?
