Feature Request - Add ability to pass values via public/Private URL

I would like to be able to set a variable, via a parameter specified in the URL.  For example, setting a search/specific view for a user with:

http://<dashboard URL here>?param:uwccode=WTEST

which woudl set the variable uwccode to the value "WTEST", which could then be used in Titles/Selects/etc on the dashboard.
