Just a heads up that on April 11th, two separate APIs are being deprecated: Google AdWords v201506 and Facebook's Marketing API v2.4.
Here's what you need to know:
For Google AdWords
If your existing AdWords data sources or Klips use any of the fields listed below, then read on. Please note that the first three fields are obsolete columns related to phone calls, not "TotalCost" of campaigns or ads:
- AvgCostForOfflineInteraction (related to phone calls)
- OfflineInteractionCost (related to phone calls)
- TotalCost (related to phone calls)
If not, then you’re off the hook!
Any data sources using the fields listed above will fail on refresh and must be modified. For more information, see Google’s migration documentation. (Note: we're migrating from v201506 to v201603).
As for your other Google AdWords data sources and Klips, don’t worry! We are migrating to the newest version to ensure that your data sources and Klips continue to work as intended. This will take place on April 8th and will not disrupt you or your clients.
For Facebook Ads
If you have Klips or data sources for Facebook Ads, read on!
Note: these changes only affect data sources making use of Facebook’s Marketing API. If the only Facebook data sources you use are for tracking Pages, you don’t need to worry. For more information, please go to Facebook’s Marketing API Changelog.
What should I do? Review and upgrade any Facebook Marketing API data sources. For example, change your query from:
Lastly, double-check that any Klips using Facebook Ads data sources work as expected.
If you added Facebook Ads Klips from the Klip Gallery prior to October 27th, 2015, we recommend you delete them (including their underlying data sources) and re-add them. If you’re worried about losing any edits that you made to the Gallery Klips, you can upgrade the underlying data sources to the new version instead.
