Is there any feature that allows me to send alerts or notifications

So I can alert or send notification by email or SMS to my co-workers when some levels are reached. I want to PUSH the data to the co-workers

    We're looking at a feature that would let users set up actions when conditions are met.

    Hi,

    We would use this feature to monitor our sales / traffic. We use Klipfolio as a dashboard for our analytics data.

    If we see values dropping below a certain treshhold on an hourly basis we want to receive an alert through e-mail/text message. We would be able to resolve issues faster than we are currently able.

    This would definitely be useful - we have a number of senior managers who like to receive high-level KPIs by SMS throughout the day

    Are you also thinking of incorporating this in the annotations functionality? Data-driven alerts/notifications are a must, but so is the ability to tag specific users within annotations and have them receive email/SMS - social media-style. I hate having to search through dashboards looking for yellow dots!

    That would be very useful. We are searching for that functionality in a dashboard tool. We need something to alert us when the data is not being collected properly. Would be great to have this functionality.

    Yes i would like this too. A client of mine has a dashboard with around a 100 gauge indicators (operation manager) seperated for different departments. They would like to get a e-mail when specific critiria are met when things go critical. Possibly when the current value is going in to red color range (with a gauge). It is nice to get a message at certain intervals (instant or daily) when this is happening. It is also nice to know when everything is in the green again.

    Zapier was actually my 2nd choice, but it´s very difficult when the notification only must be sent when the tweet have reached the pre-set limit of likes.

    We would have this use case for remaining hours in a service to alert someone to contact the client in advance. We pull the information about the contract from CRM (currently fed into Google Doc) and then use a data feed from JIRA to deduct the hours worked (tracked in worklogs). If this reaches a certain threshold we'd like a notification. 

    For example Client A has 75 hours in their CRM product item and in JIRA they reach 65 hours in the worklog. Now there are only 10 hours left we would like to trigger a notification. 

    We can get as far as configuring an indicator in Klipfolio and can send a summary email with all clients in it via a dashboard regularly. A trigger for a specific cell in a table (similar to indicators) would be where we would see this fitting in. We could use a different component to a table to get it working.

    While it isn't the primary purpose of Klipfolio for us, it's an awesome value add. We cannot do this directly in CRM, Google, JIRA or Zendesk as we have to check data against all 4 sources to validate whether the work was billable or fell into a particular contract period.

    As me and my investment team manage a large portfolio for clients, we have certain "core" stocks we must follow (10-15 stocks). All the stock data we have is streamed live and we will be refreshing in Klip "live"

    This would be a good feature to have, to be able to set condition to detect other algo trades, or intraday opportunities.

    Example:

    If on balance volume (OBV) > volume weighted average price / Vol (WVAP/Vol) over past 4 weeks = Text "Volume Surge XYZ Stock" to team

    If Price > 5 min,10min,30min,hourly moving average of Price = Text "Momentum Burst XYZ Stock" to team.

     

    I would also like to integrate my Metastock program to perform calcs on ADC then send to Klip, then Klip Texting me and my team.

    Realistic example:

    StochasticFastPercentD(21,"SMA",3) > 80 && Rsi("SMA",9) > 80 && Close() > BollingerBandsUpper("SMA",20,2.0,Close()) && Close()>TrailingMax(High(),60)[-1] &&MacdSignal("SMA",12,26,9,Close()) > Macd("SMA",12,26,Close())

    I think add up push notifications for Android and IOS would allow them to earn a lot of users. Such notifications are extremely useful and we avoid being constantly checking email or monitoring application. I hope that you will develop this feature as soon as possible .

    Hi Scott,

    I have a need for this too.. For instance when formulas (using "additional data") go over or under a number.. 

    e.g. avg(DAU) < 100

    I also already have labels tracking Week Over Week % changes .. and would like notifications if this "label percentage" is below lets say 15%.

    This is very useful for our organisation as well. 

    We're working on a dashboard that collects data from our staff on the floor and we need to be able to respond fast when our critical limits are reached.

    An SMS alert or an in-app alert would be great since we use klipfolio app on mobile to monitor things.

    Thank you for the additional input. We definitely appreciate why there has been so many requests for alerting and notifications and how these could impact your daily monitoring experience. The good news is that both notifications and alerts are part of our short term plans. The bad news is that I do not yet have a date for release. I know that many of our users have been waiting a long time for this functionality and we truly appreciate your patience. I will provide another update soon as we get closer.

    This is exciting news! I was actually asked about this possibility by yet another department this week. The value add here would be incredible. Do you think the initial release is likely to happen in 2018?

    Hi Justin. Thank you for being a community contributor and following up on this post. Alerts & notifications are top of mind for Klipfolio right now; we understand the importance of this type of feature, especially in a team context. As a product manager at Klipfolio I recognize that a notification system is the piece of the puzzle that would make building, sharing, and alerting users of certain changes and trends extremely valuable. It would tie the whole Klipfolio experience together. This thread alone reflects a need for this feature. It is something we have been strategizing around for multiple months now (and in previous years as well). However, we hope to deliver the first piece of this project in the upcoming months and validate next steps with engaged users like yourself. I will be sure to reach out to you and other members of this thread when I have a next step in place, or if we need guidance from our users. Thanks again for reaching out and talk soon.

    One more vote, and we also had this wish from regular users. I started to think about practical implementation, from user point of view. 

    Now there is the possibility to define conditional formatting to values. If the value is something, the color etc. can be changed. 

    Possibly simplest way would be to use that as starting point. The conditional formatting rule could be assigned to an alert pretty much the same way a value can be assigned to a variable (alert when / repeat alert every 24 hours etc). Current scheduled emails could be amended so that there would additional "alert" trigger to daily/weekly/etc. options. Additionally a scheduled email kind of push notification UI may be necessary, and since there is no (?) push notification already present, this may include more work at Klipfolio's side. 

    So the email alert notification could be first on the list, if it could be simpler to implement using already present functions?
