Please Add "Change Data Source"

You Need to add a feature that should be really easy to implement. Please Add "Change Data Source" to the "edit Klip" So lets say I create a Klip Dashboard and I want to copy it and change the data source but keep everything else about that Klip the same. (This is really beautiful for my company where I can upload the same formatting of different customers' data and the Klip I created finds how and where to input it to the same fields I made) So the only way I know how to currently do what i want to do now is to make a new KLIP with the new data source then I open the source of the two clips and I copy the source from the one I made before and I put in the word doc and click Crtl+F and I replace the ID & Data Source with the new file. There's so many additional steps I have to do now to make a new customer dashboard, it would be great to have a simple 1 or 2 step buttons to help. Thank you for your time & consideration.

    This is something that was beautifully implemented in Tableau, they implemented it by adding a button on the datasource that just said "Replace Data Source" and let you pick another. It could also be pretty nifty to add this when you're copying a Klip! Thanks so much for the temporary work-around by editing the source directly!

    I agree that this would be helpful. We have a handful of duplicated klips (Year to date, 1 Month, 1 Week, etc...) that use different data sources that have the same structure.  It would have been nice to now have to go through each one each time when we want to make changes.

    Please add this feature as I would of expected this type of functionality.  Not having this is feature is getting me concerned about developing too many more dashboards in Klipfolio and starting to look for another platform that has this feature.

    Could you please let me know how long before you will have this functionality, as I have parked up using Kilpfolio at the moment until this is sorted.

    I'm also looking forward to this feature. We like to use klipfolio in an agency environment, where we have similiar dashboards for different customers. This feature would be really helpful!

    Are you leveraging our Partner features to manage your Clients?  If so, you may be able to leverage dynamic data sources using Company Properties to allow you to adjust data sources to reflect your Clients without having to change each data source ion each account.

    Please schedule this. As it is an extremely important feature. 

    Imagine this situation: A new klipfolio user wants to add a new klip. After adding JSON-Datasource with some GET-parameters, he adds some functions into his clip and spends a lot of time for that.

    Then he finds out, that he made a mistake in the GET-Parameters of the datasource. Now he would loose all the settings in the klip he made, if he cannot simply change the datasource but instead has to create everything new again.

    Thank you for adding your voice here.  

    I believe you may be trying to solve a different problem.  The other asks in this thread are to help find a way to essentially replace an existing data source used in a Klip with a net new data source that has exactly the same structure -- without having to repoint all the individual references.  

    What you described would actually result in changes to a data source and would change the position and nodes of the data within the structure of the data source.  Unfortunately, this would result in a need to repoint all the references as the structure of your data source has changed.

    That said, we do have an exploration of something in the labs which could help, however it is still in very early stages and I do not have a timeline for it at the moment.
