User Input: Multi Select and result usage in Query

Hi,

 

Can you tell me if this is possible (and how to do it) to have a user input with multi item select?

My goal is to build graphs related to multi stores results mixed together.

I want my user to be able to select multiple shops from a list and use this input to do my data filter...

 

If this is not possible now, is this in the roadmap somewhere ?

    Hi Benjamin -

    SELECT() with multiple conditions is a great way to handle your filters. You can build up a condition using AND and OR logic. AND would be used to ensure all filters match. If you have an option of 'all' in your User Input Controls, you may need to add in the OR case as well.

    Multiple select in a dropdown is not available in Klipfolio, as far as i know.

    Hi -

    Correct. You can not multiple select in a single drop-down. It must be spread across filters and then the formula can handle the conditions.

    This should be one of the key features missing from klipfolio and that's probably very easy to implement in the klipfolio backend.

    Seriously, these are super basic features that should definitely be prioritized. This issue has been open for more than a year and still no action. This is a 1-day coding job most likely.

    Crazy right? I've also observed that there hasn't been any kind of product updates in the last one year. I encounter performance issues as well but I guess it's isolated my account.

    That said, we are actively looking for a better way to communicate when new functionality is available.  There is a sidebar for it and a section on our support site.  Additional inputs most welcome.

    This feature will be very helpful once implemented, especially for comparing multiple values of a certain field.

    Let me know once this feature will be available on Klipfolio. Badly need this one.

    I'm missing the multi select from Google Data Studio. Is this to be expected in Klipfolio anytime soon?

    Hi Johann and Christian - 

    PowerMetrics has multi-select, so this is already there. In Klips, the select ability is for a single option due to the complexity of building the formulas. If you wish to use multi-select, you would need to create multiple user input controls.
