dynamically calculating the total sum of all displayed bars in a bar chart

Hello everyone,

 

when displaying our monthly revenues data, I would like to display the different revenue streams as stacked bars. This is working smoothly.

As a bonus, I would like to display the sum of the stacked bars in one month, depending on which series the user selected. I have not found a solution for this yet. All I managed to do was to calculate a grand total per month, by adding all series and inserting the result as a new series. However, this is rather clumsy and does not show any sums of only some of all revenue streams.

 

Does any one know a solution or at least have a similar request?

    Thank you for sharing this request.  Can you help me better understand your situation and what you are trying to achieve?

    I understood you have multiple revenue streams.  I believe each revenue stream is represented by a series and you hve them set up as stacked bars.  And the x-Axis is showing months.  

    It sounds like you are trying to find a way to show the total revenue across all series.  I did not understand your reference to "depending on which series the user selected".

    Any additional context would be most welcome.  And any insights into what it is you are looking to achieve.
