Issue with Data Refresh

I have been experiencing issue with data refresh over the past month and won't go away. My data source is a google spreadsheet- essentially a log. I have as much as 25 data refresh failures and have to manually refresh the feed to get updates. Sometimes, it works other times, it won't. This happens to a particular spreadsheet and I have cleaned the data severally to no avail.

Additionally, if a wrong date is corrected, the service refuses to pick up the correction.

Any tips or advise are welcome

    Hello,

Thank you for posting your question in our community. For specific help, you may need to open a support ticket with the Klipfolio support team to investigate the error you are seeing.

A data source can fail to refresh for many reasons

    - The OAuth token has expired and needs to be reauthorized

    - The API query is returning an error message - in which case you need to check the details of why the API fails on the 3rd party website (this would not be a Klipfolio issue, but the support team can still help investigate)

    - The data source has exceeded the size limit on Klipfolio

    - The data source has exceeded the size limit on Google sheets

    - There are too many queries happening (refresh rate * number of data sources using the same OAuth token or across the account) has been hit and needs rate limiting.

With Google sheets there is a Google size limit that they impose, so it could be this. It's impossible to know without seeing the actual error message returned. Have you looked at the message under your data source, Refresh Info logs? You can click the error to see the details.

If there are changes not being picked up on refresh with Google Sheets, we'd need to know how you are doing the updates. You can update your existing Google sheet, or you can delete and replace your Google sheet. If you are replacing it, then the link to Klipfolio is broken. If you are just updating, what format is your date and how do you confirm a refresh has happened and the new date hasn't been picked up?

I'd suggest first step is to read the error message being returned. Based on that it could be a simple fix or change. If it is still failing, then you are best to reach out to the Klipfolio support team and have them look at your specific data source.

    Thank you
