A simple way to add notes to a klip is to use a datasource as the notes source rather than editing the klip itself, as follows:
- Create a csv file containing the notes to be displayed. This can either be automatically brought into Klipfolio from an online repository such as Google Drive or Dropbox or emailed using the Email Attachment connector.
- Create a Label, Value Pair or Table klip and add the datasource created in step 1. Point the Label, Primary/Secondary Value or Column (respectively) to the cell containing the text to be displayed. Save the klip.
- To update the notes, edit the csv file and the klip will be updated when the datasource refreshes.
If you use Slack, you could use a Slack channel to maintain your notes:
- Create a Slack channel where the messages are the notes to be displayed.
- In Klipfolio, create a Slack datasource that retrieves the most recent messages (how many is up to you) from this Slack channel.
- Create a Label, Value Pair or Table klip and add the datasource created in step 2. Point the Label, Primary/Secondary Value or Column (respectively) to the data containing the text to be displayed. Save the klip.
- To update the notes, post a message on the Slack channel.
