Pause dashboard switching during user interaction

Hi Klipfolio-Team,

It would be a nice feature to have a little more time to analyze interactive dashboards in fullscreen mode after you for example pick a new input value or while tooltipping a graph.
Mouse movement, keypresses or interaction with a klip could either pause or reset the slideshow-timer.

    Hi Flo,

    Thanks for the feedback! You can display the dashboards for longer periods of time by adjusting the slideshow interval. This is a per user setting, so for the specific user account you would go to the users Account page and adjust the interval under the 'Dashboard Options'.

    I'm interested to hear more about how you are using the full screen mode and interacting with the display. How are you displaying it and when do you interact with it?

    Hi Meggan,

    sure! We have the switching interval currently set to 45 seconds and have 6 dashboards in this loop.
    Most of our dashboards are interactive, where you can select a different time period or zoom in on graph data.

    We have a big TV in the office connected to a Raspberry Pi that is constantly cycling through our dashboards.
    Mouse and keyboard are always connected and it's encouraged to interact with the dashboard whenever you want to know more insight or see other historical data.

    I was suggesting this because if you happen to interact with the dashboard in the last 15 seconds of the switching interval you might get caught off-guard by the sudden dashboard switch.

    Hi Flo,

    Have you ever noticed the pause button in the fullscreen mode? In the Fullscreen mode when you hover your mouse you can see a banner at the top that shows your list of dashboards in the playlist and allows you to pause and play. I was wondering if that addresses your use case. You can pause, do your analysis, and then play again.

    I also want to suggest you check out the Metrics monitoring section of the app. If you have analysis use cases, you will find metrics very powerful.

    Hi Ali,

    yes, I did notice the little pause/continue-button in fullscreen mode but I thought an automatic pause would make a nice addition.

    The metric monitoring looks promising, I'll keep an eye on it!
