Let's say I'm using a bar chart to show last month YoY. Sometimes, for whatever reason, one or other of the periods has missing data.
What's a good fallback? It needs to be automatic.
I briefly tried showing "not found" in the x-axis under the missing bar, but I think that didn't work cos the x-axis is configured as dates.

There are a few options to handle missing data. The solution will depend a bit on your data and the exact chart you are building.
