The Klipfolio API uses API keys to enable secure authentication. You can generate an API key in the Klipfolio app on the My Profile page or, if you're an administrator, on the Users page.
Note: The "manage API key" permission, on by default for all pre-built roles, allows users to generate a Klipfolio API key. To prevent specific users from performing this action, create a custom role with this permission disabled and add users to it. Go here to learn more about custom roles.
To generate an API key:
- In Klipfolio, click the
button located in the left navigation sidebar and select My profile. - Beside General Information, click Edit, as shown below.
- Beside API Key, click Generate New API Key. The app automatically generates a new key.
- Click Save.
Your API key is now visible and available on your profile page.
