Klips: Editing and reconfiguring data sources

Editing and reconfiguring options depend on whether the data source has been modelled. When you reconfigure a data source you change its underlying data, for example, you may point to a different service account or upload a different or updated file. This action can only be performed on unmodelled (raw) data sources, not modelled data sources.

To edit or reconfigure a data source:

  1. Click Data Sources in the left navigation sidebar to open your list of data sources.
If you don’t see the above option, go to the bottom of the left navigation sidebar and click your Account Name > Data Sources instead.
  2. From the list of data sources, choose the one you want to edit. This opens its details page, where you can view settings and make modifications.
  3. To modify general settings for the data source, at About this (Modelled) Data Source, click Edit Properties, make changes, and click Save.
  4. To modify the underlying data for the data source, at Connection, click Reconfigure Connection > Reconfigure.
  5. If prompted, authenticate or choose a token for the account you want to get data from, then click Continue.
  6. You are now on the Edit Data Source page, where you can modify the information the data source is pointing to, for example,  choosing a new file to upload.
  7. When you're finished, click Done.

NOTE: You can also edit or reconfigure a data source from within the Klip Editor. Click the 3-dot menu for the data source (as shown below) and select About Data Source. This action takes you to the About this Data Source page where you can edit or reconfigure the data source. See the following example:
