Klips: Why are some data refresh rates unavailable?

You can set the rate at which each of your data sources is refreshed, from up-to-the-minute refreshes to every 4 hours.

Here are a couple of reasons why some refresh rates may not be available:

  • Your pricing plan doesn't include the data refresh rate you're looking for. To view your current plan, click the   Account settings button, located in the left navigation sidebar, and select Plan (if you don't see that option click on your Account Name instead and navigate to your plan page). To increase the data source refresh limit for your account, contact us at success@klipfolio.com.

  • You've exceeded the refresh rate limit for your account. This can happen if you have multiple data sources with frequent refresh rates. In such cases, you may see an error message that says your data sources are refreshing at a lower rate than you expect. For example, if you normally set your refresh rate to once an hour, the following error message might display: "Data sources imported successfully. In order to keep this account within its refresh limit, the imported data sources will refresh at a rate of every 2 hours".

If you've exceeded the refresh rate limit, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

  • Delete unused data sources or set the Queue for Refresh for unused data sources to Never. Note: You must delete the data sources, not just disable them. The refresh rate for a disabled data source continues to count against your account limit.
  • When selecting a Queue for Refresh:
    • Choose a less frequent refresh rate from the Queue for Refresh drop-down list to avoid exceeding your account's data source refresh rate.
    • Choose "Never" and continue creating your current data source. After creating your data source, adjust the other data sources in your account to refresh less often. After adjusting your other data sources, return to the data source you created. You'll be able to set a more frequent refresh rate now without exceeding your account limit.
