Padding is responsible for generating the white space in a Klip and around components within a Klip. To control how much white space is visible, you can change the default number of pixels in three different areas.
- Around the outside edge of a Klip.
- Between components within a Klip.
- Around a component in a cell of a Layout Grid component.
Padding around the outside edge of a Klip
This controls the space between components and the outside edge of a Klip.
- Select the Klip in the preview area or from the component tree within the Klip Editor. In the Properties Panel located at the bottom of the Klip Editor, use the Klip Padding controls to set the number of pixels used for padding on the left, right, top, and bottom sides of the Klip, or choose all sides.
Padding between components within a Klip
This controls the vertical space between components.
- Select the Klip in the preview area or from the component tree within the Klip Editor. In the Properties Panel located at the bottom of the Klip Editor, use the Inner Padding controls to set the number of pixels used for padding between components.
Padding around a component within a cell of a Layout Grid component
This controls the space between a component and the edge of a cell in a Layout Grid component. You must have a Layout Grid component added to your Klip to see this option.
- Select a cell or a component within a cell in a Layout Grid component in the preview area, or from the component tree in the Klip Editor. In the Layout Panel located at the bottom of the Klip Editor, Cell Padding controls the number of pixels used for padding on the left, right, top and bottom sides of a component within a cell, or on all sides.
Note: A Table Component now has a border and padding to make it look consistent with other components. If you want to revert to the old look, you must set the Klip padding to zero and turn off the border.
