The Locale setting is used to control the behaviour of certain Klipfolio date and time functions:
- DATE
- DATE_CONVERT
- DATE_ENDOF
- DATE_IN
- DATE_STARTOF
- DATE_UNITVALUE
- DATE_VALUE
Specifically, the values for the first day of the week and week number, and the language used for the month and weekday names vary according to the selected locale. For example, in Europe, the first day of the week is Monday while in North America, the first day of the week is Sunday.
Timezone and date formats in the Properties panel are not affected by this setting.
By default, Locale is set to English (United States). To change your Locale to a different setting, go to Account > Settings > General and click edit next to Set Date Locale to select your Date Locale from the drop-down list.
The following table shows an example of how different Locale settings affect date representation.
