Locale Setting

The Locale setting is used to control the behaviour of the following Klipfolio date and time functions:

  • DATE
  • DATE_CONVERT
  • DATE_ENDOF
  • DATE_IN
  • DATE_STARTOF
  • DATE_UNITVALUE
  • DATE_VALUE

Specifically, the values for the first day of the week and week number, and the language used for the month and weekday names vary according to the selected locale. For example, in Europe, the first day of the week is Monday while in North America, the first day of the week is Sunday.

Time zone and date formats in the Properties panel are not affected by this setting.

By default, locale is set to English (United States). To change your locale setting, click the account and settings button in the left navigation sidebar and select Settings > General. At Date Locale, click Edit. Select the desired locale from the drop-down list at Date Locale.

Note: If you don't see the account and settings, click your Account name (located at the bottom of the left navigation sidebar) and select Account > Settings instead.

The following table shows an example of how different locale settings affect date representation.
