Add pre-built Klips and connect to your Zendesk data

Add pre-built Zendesk Klips to your dashboard and start tracking your customer support data!

To connect our Zendesk pre-built Klips to your own data, you'll need:

  • Your Zendesk login credentials
  • Your Zendesk subdomain name

To add a Zendesk pre-built Klip to your dashboard:

Steps Screenshots
In an open dashboard, click + Add a Klip. In the Klip Gallery, select Zendesk.

Beside the Klip you want to add, click + Add to Dashboard. Click Done.

In the new Klip on your dashboard, click the Sample Data banner.

Enter or select your Zendesk subdomain and click Next Step.

If this is your first time connecting to Zendesk, enter your Zendesk login credentials and click Allow to enable Klipfolio to securely access your Zendesk data. Click Next Step.

If you've connected to Zendesk before, select an existing connection from the drop-down list and click Next Step.

In the Configure data source window, enter your Zendesk subdomain or select it from the drop-down list.

Depending on the pre-built Klip you added, there may be other selections required. For an example, see the adjacent screenshot, where you must select a time zone.

Click Update Klip. Click Finished.

Managing your Zendesk connection

By default, your connection name looks like this: yourname@Zendesk <date and time created>. You can modify the default connection name when you create a new connection or from your list of connections, accessed by clicking your Account Name (located at the bottom of the left navigation sidebar) and selecting Account > Connected Accounts or by clicking the button in the left navigation sidebar and selecting Connections.

You can use and reuse the same account connection every time you connect to Zendesk. If you have trouble accessing an existing connection, your OAuth token may have expired. If that happens to you, check out these troubleshooting tips.
